| The Detroit Athletic Club (DAC), located in downtown Detroit, is a first class private dining, athletic and overnight facility for men and women. The historic club has been a Detroit original since it was established in 1887 as interest in amateur athletics swept the country. Later in 1913, a group of the city's prominent automotive and industrial leaders reorganized the DAC and commissioned famed architect Albert Kahn to design the magnificent six story clubhouse that stands today in the center of the city's theatre and sports district. |
